Not much is known about Nicolitch, and except for a well-known poster he created for Persan Export (an aperitif), the majority of his posters seem to be for music halls or the performing arts, all signed from his studio in Marseilles. The poster, which is advertising a popular dance act is one of his most intriguing images. In a red triangle, the spotlight, two dancers with long limbs seem to be infused with a strong sense of movement. This poster is all motion, even the type has a flowing, dancing quality.
