One of Metivet's finest and rarest, this charming railway poster advertises the resort of Martigny. In the Voges mountains of northwest France. Executed in sun-dappled impressionistic colors and brushstrokes, we see a pair of fashionably dressed women by the river bank with a watchful caddy standing by, while the bottom text area clearly spells out extensive ticketing information. This prolific magazine and book illustrator did few posters; most notably, one for Eugénie Buffet and the winning entry in Century's Napoleon poster contest.
